Lost and Found...

In Romans 15 Paul explained the need to look out for the ones who haven't heard the word of God or fully understand it. He risked his freedom and life to spread the word of God to every part of the world he could get to. He wrote in Romans 15:20 'My ambition has always been to preach the Good News where the name of Christ has never been heard, rather than where a church has already been started by someone else.'
My question to you is, what impact do you have on the unsaved people the surround you everyday, do your words and actions speak of and portray the God you serve? We may not have the advantage of being a preacher or the funds to travelling the world like Paul, but we still have opportunities to rock and change the lives of others around us. There is a saying the goes 'actions speak louder than words', what are your actions saying to those watching you about the God you claim to serve and know?

Love... Unconditional?

When i think of the type of love a mother has for her child, or a friend towards another friend or even the love between spouses, they all seem conditioned. I know all parents say that their love is unconditionally there for their children, but we as humans have only ever received limited and conditional love from each other. On the other hand God's love for us is completely different, he loves us even when we totally ignore him. The amount of chances we are given is amazing. The Israelites were so ungrateful but God full of compassion, grace and unending love, never gave up on them. The unconditional love of the Lord is hard for us to understand as we have limits and finishes to everything. Lets forgive and love more throughout our everyday lives. Just try and imagine how peaceful this earth would be if we only knew what the meaning of unconditional love really was. 1 Corinthians 13:7 NLT

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Patience is a virtue

I understand that God loves me and wants the best for me, but i seem to be the one that doesn't know what the best for myself is. I sin when i don't want to and God is always ready and waiting for me to turn back to him. Just like the children of Israel, i complain about everything i don't have instead of been grateful for what i do have. I feel like God needs help in the process of growth in my life, but all i need to do is have patience and ride out the plan God has got for me. I will never be perfect but i can start trying to be by letting go of my selfish wants and letting God take care of my needs. Proverbs 16:32 NLT

Better to be patient than powerful; better to have self-control than to conquer a city.
